Fighter Favors.

Fighter Favors.
For next year, I'd like to make up some kind of favor for those who fight with us that are not in the household. This has happened from time to time, though not this year. Last year specifically I recall Tank and another guy from ACG who fought with our unit. These fighters get to wear our tabords (if we have any extras) on the field during the battle, but it would be nice to give them a little favor that they can wear on the field and keep.
I've been doing a lot of blackwork recently, and thought of doing something with that in blue and gold threads.
I hesitate to do anything that has our full heraldry on it (the blue and gold cat and mountains) because, well, that's ours. but maybe just a gold cat on blue? or just the mountains?
any thoughts?

Re: Fighter Favors.
I think it's a great idea, actually. So long as it isn't a HUGE big deal... Like, lots and lots of work.
I very proudly have the Forlorn Hope favor (arm band) that Keldra made up years ago, and remember the day proudly. hopefully, any favor worn by folks who fight with us would evoke the same sort of fond memories.
I can think of a couple ways to do it (I'm sure there are more!) for instance - a long piece of material with a little bit of work on it, so's they could wrap it around an arm or loop it through a belt; or something smaller, that they could attach to another piece like their fighting belt or tabard. Of course the problem with that would be the attaching... somebody'd have to do it.
PS - do you have any pics of your blackwork? I'd love to see it! That's a style of embroidery that I've never tried...

i was thinking of the gold cat on the blue, but now i'm thinking that may be easily misinterpreted as members of the order of the cat. so what about mountains???
